Susie Jin
Pharmacist, CDE, CPT, CRE / Certified Fitter for Compression Stockings
Susie is a pharmacist, Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Insulin Pump and Continuous Glucose Sensor Trainer, Certified Respiratory Educator, and Certified Fitter for Compression Therapy. Her professional experience in Diabetes Education includes a variety of practice settings such as her local hospital Diabetes Education Program, her local Community Health Centre, within a medical clinic, and now, primarily, in her community pharmacy. In her volunteer work, Susie has served in several leadership capacities on a variety of provincial and national committees including:

Susie is actively involved in interprofessional education as seen through her guideline and recommendation development work with Diabetes Canada and Wounds Canada, and as a key contributor to education offerings through the Ontario Pharmacists Association. In addition, Susie will write, review and present for both the public and an interprofessional audience. She has been honored with several awards including:
-a Teaching Associate Award of Excellence from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Pharmacy;
-a Regional Volunteer of the Year Award from the Canadian Diabetes Association;
-the Ontario Pharmacists Association Magnum Opus Award;
-the 2020 Diabetes Canada Charles H. Best Award;
-the 2021Diabetes Canada Educator of the Year Award.
Despite the busy-ness of life, Susie is perhaps most proud of her three amazingly funny boys, of whom she is happy to be able to describe as… “normal”. To keep fit, Susie has run marathons… VERY SLOWLY :) In fact, Susie has ran 5 out of the 6 World Major Marathons including: New York City, Chicago, Berlin, Tokyo and London. In 2021, Susie completed the last of the World Major Marathons by participating in the Virtual Boston Marathon!
